this was one of the most fun spur-of-the-moment things i've ever crocheted! i was making a little baby hat (see it soon, i'll post pics in the next day or two) for an old high school friend of mine, and i remembered her 3-yr old loves sea turtles. my friend had just shown pics of the big girl room on fb, redone as she did the nursery for the baby--all in sea turtles, super-cute! and i pulled together some scraps and put this together.

and a tummy view, the shell is actually completely removable, which inspired my friend's daughter to giggle about her "naked" turtle :) fun times! |
